Name: Soren Hall
Nickname: n/a
Age: 11 years old; born April 18
Gender: Male
Trainer Class: Beginning trainer, but a trainer nonetheless
Personality:
Traits:
-Sweet and friendly; wants to befriend anybody he meets, and the concept of enemies means little to him. "Enemy" means the villain on a cartoon, not anybody in real life.
-Honest; Soren doesn't lie. He understands how, but he doesn't see why anyone would want to bother with it.
-Playful; easily bored, he always wants to be doing something fun.
-Active; a lot of his activities involve being outside and running around, from playing tag to chasing his big brother's Pokemon around the front yard.
-Affectionate- loves to cuddle up with those he loves, be it a Pokemon or a human. He loves hugs.
-Naive; he doesn't always understand what's going on, but often doesn't bother to find out. He lets his brother and parents take care of important "adult" things.
Likes:
-Pokemon; more than anything, one of Soren's favorite things to do is to play with his brother's Pokemon. When his brother goes out on adventures, he plays with the Miltank that his parents keep for their milk. A world without Pokemon is his worst nightmare.
-Learning; he loves to learn new things about Pokemon, whether it's a whole new species that he hasn't seen, or a new fact about a familiar favorite.
-Candy; he's always loved it. No matter what kind, candy is one of Soren's favorite foods, and he'll happily munch away all day.
Dislikes:
-Being alone; even if it's only a Pokemon, he always needs some form of company.
-Cruelty; whether it's to a person or a Pokemon (but especially to a Pokemon), one of the only things that can make Soren truly angry is when somebody doesn't care whether they're hurting somebody with their words or actions. He's quick to forgive if the person sincerely apologizes, but he can't stand when people just don't care.
-Cold weather; his mother would never let him outside when it was cold, so he associates cold with no playing outdoors.
Appearance: Soren is a short little thing, only 4'5, and about 70 pounds. His large dark eyes, combined with his innocent smile, certainly help Soren look the part of the innocent little boy. He loves to run around outside, so his clothes and face are usually dirty. A backwards baseball cap is almost always planted firmly on his head, so only his dark brown bangs peek out in front. He generally dresses for playtime, wearing mud-stained jeans and sneakers, and one of his many t-shirts.
History: For as long as he could remember, Soren wanted to be a Pokemon trainer. His older brother, Cole, was six years older than he was, and since it was Cole's dream, Soren decided it would be his dream, too. He looked up to Cole more than anyone. Cole was his protector, his best friend, and his idol.
When Cole was old enough, he set out on his own journey. From time to time, he would come back home for a week or so with his new Pokemon and shiny badges. Soren always admired these things, but he wanted more than anything to be old enough to go with his brother. Still, every time Cole again went out, he was left at home with his parents.
Shortly before he turned ten, his parents decided that Soren could get his first Pokemon when Cole returned again. Then they could leave together, and Soren wouldn't be on his own. However, before Cole could return, the virus hit. The family Miltank were infected, and Cole only managed to make it home without losing his team by putting all of his Pokemon into the PC.
Cole took Soren to Olivine City, with the plan that the boys would go to Teima on their own. Their parents would come later, after they'd figured out what they would do with the family property. However, in the rush to get off the boat, Soren and Cole were separated. Left without his brother, Soren was alone in Teima.
