Personality:
Jon is a very nondescript person, who likes to hang out in the background as supposed to being in the spotlight. He is a mild-mannered man, and is rather polite the few occasions when he decides to speak. He is very easygoing, and it is inherently difficult to rile him up. He can get along with just about anyone with no problem.

He is normally very serious, though he does have a bit of a humorous side to him once you get to know him. He is atheist, having converted after Despair ruined his home, and a vegetarian, though that’s for no particular reason and is his own choice. He does have a passion for running, which can help soothe his mind and allow him to think, and he also enjoys theatre acting.

One thing to note about Jonathon is that he despises having the spotlight on him, metaphorically speaking. He usually tries to pass it off to another person, or says “No big deal” even it truly was. However, this does not mean that he is a “fly on the wall” at the parties. In his opinion, its difficult to be a fly on the wall at a party if you don’t go to the party at all.

Jon avoids most social gatherings as if they are the plague, preferring instead to run or perhaps call up on his friends if he can. He is also something of a romantic, despite his limited knowledge of the romantic arts and lack of luck at it, and he’s a big softie at heart. He really is more of a listener than a talker, and he always has an ear open.

Appearance:
Jonathon is not particularly tall; coming to a height of 5’8. He is also remarkably slender, with an almost girlish lanky frame. However, what he doesn’t have in height, he makes up for in looks. Jonathon is not particularly handsome; “pretty” would probably be a better word for him. Or even more accurate: “ridiculously pretty.”

Jon has incredible, electric blue eyes, ones that can be seen fifty feet away. He also has subtle cheekbones, just enough to make his face seem almost angular, but not quite. He has pale pink lips and a winsome smile. His hair is a deep brown and is almost always always tousled or windblown. His hair barely brushed the collar of his shirt, and can have a bit of wave to it when he brushes it. The rare times he chooses to speak, its seen that he is surprisingly soft-spoken.

Jon is not particularly muscular, and is more sinewy than anything. He is in shape, due to the fact he is an avid runner, but he is still ridiculously skinny. He wears a pair of dark blue jeans that are just the right amount of baggy, with a thick brown belt running through the loops. He also wears a tight-ish light-colored t-shirt underneath a nondescript black jacket that has a hood. He wears scuffed up, dirty boots as well.

He is a bit of a smoker, and almost always has a pack of cigarettes on him.

History:
Jonathon was born the oldest child out of two for a single mother in Petalburg City. He had almost nothing to do with pokemon while he was growing up, except for the occasional glimpse in the park or on the street. His mother worked full-time at a local bookstore, and that is where Jon and his younger sister spent most of their days until he was deemed old enough to stay at home.

During the day when he was at home alone, he would read books or go for a run (after calling his mother to let her know). Jon never had many friends growing up, though he did have a select few he enjoyed hanging out with. One of the few childhood friends he had was a mousy little girl named Marie. Unbeknownst to Jon, Marie had quite the crush on him and would follow him around.

When he was twelve, she gave him a note asking him to meet her behind the bleachers after school. Naturally, he had no desire to hurt her and did as she had asked. They made stilted conversation for a few minutes, before she finally blurted out her feelings for him in a loud rush. Completely surprised by the what he thought was a random proclamation, Jonathon was silent. Marie took his silence the wrong way and fled.

A few days later, his other friends found out about Marie’s declaration through the grapevine and started teasing Jonathon about it. He immediately told them that it wasn’t like that, and he didn’t have feelings for her. Marie rounded the corner at that precise moment, and overheard it.

And so ended the one real chance Jonathon ever had at a girlfriend.

His life was relatively monotonous until Despair began its destructive path through Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. Within a matter of weeks, his mother scooped up her two children, having heard about the secluded island supposedly immune to Despair. She took their life savings, quit her job at the bakery, and manage to scrounge up three tickets to the Teima region.

They settled into Avina City in a crappy little apartment that was nothing like their humble, comfortable cottage which had been on the edge of Petalburg. The crime-infested city proved to be inherently difficult to live in, due to the influx of refugees from the other regions and lack of jobs. His mother grew paranoid due to all the horrible crimes going on around her children, and his little sister became incredibly afraid.

When Jonathon was seventeen, he decided he would leave his family to see if he could find a job elsewhere so he could send money back to his struggling family. He had no intention of becoming a pokemon trainer, though that is exactly what wound up happening. He is something of an errand boy; meaning that he acts like a courier and will carry packages that needed to be delivered from city to city.
